Last updated: 8 June 2026. DashBlood is built for blood donation coordination. We treat personal and health-related information with extra care.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use DashBlood, we may collect:
- Account details such as name, phone number, email address, and password or authentication provider.
- Donor profile details such as blood group, eligibility preferences, donation history, and general location.
- Request details such as hospital, city, blood group needed, urgency level, and contact information for coordination.
- Device and usage information such as browser type, app version, pages viewed, and basic diagnostics.
How We Use Information
- To match blood requests with compatible nearby donors.
- To send alerts, confirmations, reminders, and request updates.
- To help hospitals or request organizers coordinate responses.
- To improve safety, prevent misuse, and maintain service reliability.
- To understand service performance and improve DashBlood features.
Sharing and Disclosure
We share information only when needed to operate the service, coordinate a blood request, comply with law, protect users, or work with trusted service providers. We do not sell personal information.
Health and Emergency Information
DashBlood may process blood group, donation preference, and request urgency information. This information is used for coordination and does not replace hospital screening, clinical advice, or medical judgement.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive details in public request notes.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to operate DashBlood, meet legal obligations, protect users, and resolve disputes. Retention periods depend on the type of data:
- Active account and profile data (name, email, phone, donor profile, location preferences, notifications, appointments): kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete your account, subject to the exceptions below.
- Blood request and chat content: kept while the request is active. After a request is closed, coordination history is kept for up to 30 days, then deleted or anonymized. When you delete your account, private contact details tied to your account are removed immediately; any anonymized request records kept for safety review are deleted within 90 days.
- Support messages and deletion requests: kept for up to 90 days after the case is closed so we can verify ownership, respond to follow-up questions, and document that your request was handled.
- Moderation, safety, and audit logs (for example content reports, blocks, and operational audit events): kept for up to 90 days, or longer only where required by law, fraud prevention, or patient safety obligations.
- In-app notifications and delivery logs: kept for up to 30 days.
- Crash and diagnostic data (for example Firebase Crashlytics): kept for up to 30 days to diagnose reliability issues.
- Backups: deleted account data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 3 days before those backups are overwritten.
When you delete your account in the app, we start removing your personal account data immediately after you confirm deletion. When you request deletion by email, we complete verified deletion within 3 days of confirming account ownership. Some records may be retained in anonymized or minimized form when we must do so for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or healthcare coordination audit history. See Delete Your DashBlood Account for the step-by-step process.
